Dear Bro Frank and Sis Mary Hoffman,

I have a question regarding animal cruelty. Some preachers use this bible verse, Genesis 9:2, as an excuse, that God has given all animals into our hands, so that we can do to them anything we want. If this is true, then why does certain verses like Exodus 23:4-5, Deuteronomy 22:4, and Proverbs 12:10, forbids animal cruelty?
