Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

My name is Rachael and I am new to the [email protected] discussion group.  First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who welcomed me so warmly.

I'm a 20-year-old college student and I am president of the animal rights group on campus. I am also a member of the campus Christian fellowship.  My friends in each group don't seem to understand the other, but I can only pray that they will each realize the the two viewpoints actually blend together quite nicely. /p>

It's funny; many of the vegetarians I know believe that don't eat meat or wear leather, but they find it okay to curse, do drugs, have sex, and live a very ungodly life. Yet my Christian friends, who are full of love for God and each other, can't understand why I make such a big deal about protecting our animal friends.  A pastor friend of mine thinks it's amusing to tell me stories about one of his favorite hobbies: hunting.

In closing, I feel so blessed that I have found a group of people with a similar viewpoint. Thank you so much for welcoming me into your group.
