Dear Caroline:

Thank you very much for writing.

We find your understanding to be very interesting, but don’t see Dives attitude much different than what we have found in our modern day maximum security prisons.

When inmates first come in, many of them are quite violent and angry very much like you expressed, but over time, we have observed many of them have mellowed and act as the rich man of the story; the less violent their crimes, the quicker they mellow, which would further explain Dives actions, and feelings.

God knows the heart and soul of all of us better than we even know ourselves, so we believe there is a lot of truth in what J.R. wrote.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
