In this week’s video, Vegan Pastor Frank speaks about what to say to counter when someone says, “Jesus ate fish,” as their reason for not embracing the compassionate lifestyle of ethical veganism. It is not a matter of trading Bible verses back and forth until someone feels they have won the argument. The deeper question is not whether we can find a verse to defend what we want to keep doing, but whether our hearts are being moved by Christlike compassion toward the vulnerable creatures who suffer under human power. Jesus always led people beyond legalism and self-justification into mercy, tenderness, and sacrificial love.
