Thank you for your letter in reply to our survey of 12th February.
I should inform you that the notion of vegetarianism as a "personal
fad" stood isolated both in its lack of contemporary depth and basic
regard for the integrity of creation.
I can only pray for those who, having read of your views, may adopt a
more callous attitude, towards animal exploitation and abuse. I pray for
the animals who will suffer for the sake of such folly and I pray for
you.
The increase in moral generosity within our church is a response to
Our Lord's grace and presence in today's world.
The enclosed circular based on the Episcopal response to our letter,
as a whole, may or may not broaden your understanding.
