Vegetarian Lent Initiative
Christians are being encouraged to adopt a vegetarian diet during
Lent in a bid to extend the principles of love, mercy and reverence
towards the 2 million animals killed in the UK every day. The
Veg4Lent initiative is urging each participant to abstain from meat
consumption from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday. For a free booklet
