Soy consumption has now been demonstrated by scientists to defeat the genetically pre-programmed nature of breast cancer cells.
Every act of creation is first an act of destruction.
- Pablo Picasso
What greater gift of creation and destruction has mother nature gifted
women, then the magic chemical within soy which science now confirms
destroys malignant breast cancer cells?
Scientific studies have demonstrated that the consumption of soy isoflavones
has many benefits, including protection against cancer, bone disease, and
heart disease. In addition, menopausal symptoms are eased by soy
isoflavones, particularly genistein and daidzein. For every 100-gram portion
of soy (3.5 ounces), there are 102 milligrams of genistein and 56 milligrams
of daidzein.
The May, 2014 issue of the journal Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry
{390(1-2):235-42} includes a Brazilian study in which scientists (Prietsch,
et. al) found that genistein (the most abundant protein in soy) induces
cellular destruction of breast cancer cells.
Scientists treated cancer cells with various doses of either estradiol or
genistein and evaluated cellular tumor growth.
Cancer researchers discovered:
These results suggest that the antitumor effect of genistein involved the modulation of antioxidant enzyme and apoptotic signaling expression, which resulted in apoptosis and progression of autophagy.
(Wikipedia) Apoptosis defined: Apoptosis (from Ancient Greek apo, "away
from" and ptōsis, "falling") is the process of programmed cell death.
(Wikipedia) Autophagy defined: Autophagy (from the Greek auto-, "self" and
phagein, "to eat"), is the basic catabolic mechanism that involves cell
degradation of unnecessary or dysfunctional cellular components .
Soy consumption has now been demonstrated by scientists to defeat the
genetically pre-programmed nature of breast cancer cells.
Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of the
cancer cell.
