"Only" (?) 18 injured or dead horses on U.S. racetracks in the last
two weeks.

past two weeks (there were many weather-related cancellations across
the country):

- Freedom Rider “bad step, taken up” at Louisiana
- Csilla “vanned off” at Tampa Bay
- Binding Agreement “suffered an injury, collided with rival, vanned off” at Fair Grounds
- Lost in Tahiti “vanned off” at Mahoning
- Crosstown Girl “vanned off” at Mahoning
- Fast Clip “suffered catastrophic injury, euthanized” at Mahoning
- Mighty Mekong “vanned off” at Gulfstream
- The Honorable One “went wrong, bled, vanned off” at Turfway
- Simply “vanned off” at Aqueduct
- Mosienko “bled” at Aqueduct
- O B’s “vanned off” at Golden Gate
- Zarak “vanned off” at Gulfstream
- Luxury Brand “vanned off” at Los Alamitos
- Armcrest Kitty “fell, vanned off” at Sam Houston

“Vanned Off”: Horse required equine ambulance to get off the track;
while not all end up dead, most do, as borne out by our subsequent
reporting. “Bled”: pulmonary hemorrhage.
