Letter from Sam and Susan Hirsch about Alaskan Wildlife - 22 Mar 2005
Dear Governor Murkowski:
Below is a letter we drafted and e-mailed to various television stations in California, Congressman, Senators, Governor, etc., about the plight of these beautiful animals. We will do anything and everything we can to stop these killings. PLEASE STOP THIS DEPLORABLE ACTION.
Save the Alaskan Wolves and Bears from Aerial Killings
The governor of Alaska (Frank Murkowski) and the Fish and Game are approving extermination of the Alaskan wolves and a large percentage of the bear population all in an effort to promote moose hunting in this state.
Please go to the website of the “Defenders of Wildlife” www.savealaskawolves.org to see an actual video tape of the aerial killings and to read information about this deplorable act.
On Sunday, April 3, 2005, we will have a petition against this tragedy at the “Nuts for Mutts” event at Pierce College where Kim Bassinger and other celebrities will be hosting this event for “New Leash on Life”. Animal Planet will also be there. We will also be attending another event on April 23, 2005, at the “Dog Park” on Victory Blvd. and White Oak, in Van Nuys, CA and will have the petition to have people sign.
Please let us know if there is anything you can do to bring this genocide to the public’s attention.
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Sam and Susan Hirsch
