From Juliet about Compassion for Animals - 17 Jul 2005
Frank & Mary,
Thank you for getting back to me. I wanted to say this before, but my infant daughter was in my lap and it was difficult to type much more than a few lines.
Your efforts are really touching to me. I have had a passion for animal welfare for many years but struggled with the way to be able to express my feelings. Many times I just got headaches, cried and had bad dreams about the horrid things being done to animals. I felt so hopeless.
I haven't been a member of a church since my childhood, but have had a good relationship with God. Your website helped me find a prayer for the animals I feel so much anxiety about. I can pray that prayer now, knowing that I am doing as much as possible for those animals. It is with a heavy heart that I pray, but I know that the solution rests with God, not man. My frustration about 'what to do' has been lifted. God, the solution, was there all the time but in my agony about the pain and suffering animals undergo, I couldn't see Him.
I have been vegetarian for about 15 years and vegan off and on for many of those years. Your site has inspired me to be an even more staunch advocate for animal rights. Thank you so much for your good work. Bless you both!

Dear Juliet:
You aren't alone in your frustration with God not acting to end all the pain and suffering. We pray "Stop the pain and suffering!", and it doesn't seem to get answered in the short run. However over the past ten years we've seen some real changes taking place, and believe that the internet has had a lot to do with it.
It seems that God has put the solution in our hands as stewards of His creation. We need to keep the vision of the Peaceable Kingdom in our minds eye, knowing without a doubt that we can help bring it to pass, and with that assurance, go forth doing what ever we can to educate the public and end the pain and suffering.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
