I found a copy of "Don't Quit" in items of my mom's after she died in 1997. I also found a printed poster of this same poem at our church yard sale in the early to mid 1990's. I glued this poem on a piece of wood and gave it to my mom while she was in a nursing home suffering the devastating effects of a massive stroke.

What I thought was so strange was that I had given my mom a copy of a poem that she already had. It must have been very special to her, as the paper seemed to be several years old.

It is such a beautiful poem.
