Letter from Michael Gurwitz about Our Ministry, and Opposing Views on Animal Cruelty - 25 Feb 2006
Thank you so much for your website. It is a tonic for those of us who believe that people should treat animals with compassion, not cruelty. I have been vegetarian for 23 years, and vegan for 13, and I am committed to animal rights as a moral philosophy.
I just finished having an internet chat board exchange with a man who said flat out that he does not care at all about animals or how they die. Another person said that we should NOT kill animals more humanely because it might make meat cost more money. I cannot understand such people and can only conclude that their souls are diseased. I believe they can be "cured," so to speak, but it is depressing how prevalent their views are.
But then I visited your website and it restored my faith in humanity.
Best wishes,
Michael Gurwitz

Dear Michael:
Thank you very much for your kind and encouraging words.
Unfortunately, we don't believe that all people can be "cured" of their evil ways, though we never give up trying, because we can never know who will be changed.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
