Letter from Violet Kanda about Humans and the Hardness of Heart - 29 Jul 2006

Dear Frank L. Hoffman,

I posted my message on www.phillyblog.com to discourage people from from consuming animal products but their reactions are very aggressive when they acknowledge cruelty in flesh consumption.

How can I improve my message to change minds of these not so civilized, selfish people?

I informed people about the disgusting rendering plant products farm animals were fed before they end their lives in the horror of meat processing plant and how it effects our health, environmental destruction, and contributes to world hunger, etc., but I am unable to influence these angry meat/dairy/egg lovers.

Dear Violet:

Thank your for writing and for posting your message.

Some people are just hard of heart and extremely self centered which makes them very hard to change. However, in the back of their minds your compassionate message rings clear, even if they deny it. The important thing is that you reach out to as many people as you can, because you will touch the heart of some, who will in turn touch others. Don’t lose hope!

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
