Letter from Arthur Poletti Re: The Decline And Fall Of The American Empire - 16 May 2007

Dear Frank & Mary & David

I just wanted you to know that it looks like
someone in the Congress is reading my
messages.

I intend to send a constant barrage of hard cold
facts to Congress about the catastrophic disasters
that have been caused by the livestock industry.

There is enough information available to fill
Yankee Stadium.

The hazards and dangers of global warming,
bird flu, mad cow, food poisoning, and diseases
caused by contaminated meat is only going to
get worse.

Maybe with a little luck someone in the United
States Congress will wake up and realize that
the livestock industry has created or contributed
to most of the biggest problems in America and
is seriously contributing to the destruction of the
earths environment.

Following are a few of the reasons the Roman Empire
fell. There is a definite parallel that can be used
when looking at the conditions that currently exist
in the United States.

Some of the reasons for the fall of Rome:

(1) political chaos and distrust of political leaders.
(2) corrupt emperors,
(3) moral and cultural decay
(4) a breakdown of justice
(5) a failure to maintain law and order
(6) social hierarchy; gap between very wealthy
and very poor and oppressed (class conflicts and
economic problems)
(7) undermining of the sanctity of the home
(8) the rapid increase in divorce
(9) the development of huge armaments and the
neglect of the enemy within
(10) the moral decline of the whole society
(11) sexual perversion
(12) the decline of religious vitality
(13) size of empire became unmanageable
(14) plague

Pray for brighter days to come for America.
It cannot get much darker.

For the sake of all animals.
