Letter from Donna About Isaiah 30:20 - 12 November 2008

Dear Frank and Mary,

It is so heart warming how our Father speaks to each of us personally.

This morning He spoke to me through this Isaiah 30:20. I felt he was reassuring me that I am moving the right way. The world is so misled that it sometimes makes me feel I am wrong.

Could you give me your understanding on Isaiah 30 especially 30:20?

Sent with love from the Father,

Donna

Dear Donna:

Thanks for your email and question. We'll do our best to answer it.

There is a parallel between the relationship of the Israelites with God, and that of the Church's relationship with God. Israel was ungodly in their ways, just as the Church has been ungodly with their hardness of heart and indifference to the suffering of animals, and those who care about them. Isaiah is saying that this hardness and blindness to the suffering of others will end and the people will again return to the Lord and will be blessed in the process.

This has been one of our daily prayers for a long time, and if it wasn't for this hope, we probably would have given up.

We hope this helps.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
