Why are councils continually staging bigger fireworks shows than ever before?
Councils are well aware that fireworks terrify all animals and that many pets will go missing, injure themselves, run under the wheels of cars or become homeless as a result of their fireworks. Even animals safely secured at home may suffer long term psychological damage.
And what the about the native animals and birds who will also be filled with panic?
Apart from the terror caused, firework release toxic chemicals which pollute the air and harm our health.
Isn't it time councils started acting responsibly by celebrating in Earth, people and animal friendly ways only?
