End fireworks
RE: Festive dogs go crackers on mooneevalleyleader.com.au
Pepper the greyhound was one of many dogs frightened by fireworks on New
Year’s Eve.
On New Year’s Eve, a beautiful golden retriever hanged herself as she sought to escape from the terrifying explosions.
A panic-stricken greyhound had her paws shredded and bloodied and a terrified cat ran under the wheels of a car.
How many others animals were killed, injured and traumatised on this night? Enough is enough! This selfish obsession with fireworks has got to end!
Though illegal fireworks are often blamed for the tragic outcomes, legal fireworks are just as terrifying to animals.
It’s high time councils started acting responsibly by celebrating in ways that don’t terrify and harm our fellow creatures.
This Earth is home to others besides humans.
