I Didn't Like Them Being Killed

From Mike Busby
Facebook posting, July 29, 2022

The main reason was because I didn’t like them being killed. It was a very emotional time, I would have to watch all the animals I raised be lined up for slaughter.

former sheep farmer

Sheep farmer Sivalingam Vasanthakumar - "I couldn’t cope any more and I had to say no. Taking them to the slaughterhouse was stressing me a lot - watching them huddle in terror in the back of the lorry."

Guess what this AMAZING man did??

Instead of delivering them to the slaughterhouse. He drove his entire flock of male lambs 200 miles to Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries, near Kidderminster UK .

“I used to eat lamb but not any more, I’m a vegetarian now. I’ll still be farming and I’ll grow vegetables. It was a difficult decision to make, but the right one.”

He also said: “The main reason was because I didn’t like them being killed. It was a very emotional time, I would have to watch all the animals I raised be lined up for slaughter.”

The sanctuary claimed the male lambs would have fetched about £9,000 if sold.

Bravo Mr Vasanthakumar!!!!!
