Dedicated to the Preservation and Restoration of the Whole of Creation: Humans - Animals - Environment
"And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.
And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day" (Genesis 1:31)
(White Avens (Geum canadense) - 02) We have wondered about some of the
differences we have observed in white avens plants that were not mentioned in
the literature: the main stems were a deep reddish color while the branch stems
were green, and the stems and underside of the leaves were hairy. The flowers
of the white avens are about 1/2 inch across, with 5 rounded white petals and 5
pointed green sepals of the same length. As the flowers mature, the sepals curl
downward, so that they may have to be lifted to verify that they are
approximately the same length as the petals. White avens flowers also have
numerous stamens and numerous pistils with hooked styles.

Presented here are just a few of the countless components of God's creation. Just as we cannot have human and animal life without water and plants, neither can we have lasting peace without love and compassion. It is our hope and prayer that this series will motivate people to live and act in a cruelty-free manner; that we would no longer hurt or destroy each other, the animals or our environment.
