White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 217
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 217) While on one of our three and a half mile walks to pick up our mail on 27 Jun 2014, we saw this white-tailed deer in a patch of ferns off the side of the road.

White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 218a
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 218a) White-tailed deer are God's gentle souls, and for any human being to deliberately harm one of these deer requires them to harden their hearts and souls, and turn their backs on God's creation intent for their and our lives. We are to be their loving and compassionate caretakers and try to protect them in any peaceful way we can from those who follow evil ways of this world and seek to bring them harm.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 219
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 219) This white-tailed deer was across the road watching us take the photos of the deer in the previous photos. She made no attempt to run away; she was only curious about us and what we were doing.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 220

White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 221
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 221) We started softly talking to the young deer and moved a few steps closer, and the deer on the road just watched us.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 222
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 222) Then the young white-tailed deer started slowly walking across the road nearer to where we were standing and taking these photos.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 223
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 223) The young white-tailed deer slowly continued to move closer to us, and we continued to softly talk to them.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 224
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 224) These young deer kept moving closer until they were only about 15-20 feet away from us.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 225
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 225) The deer then moved over to the lawn of this house to continue grazing, but one of the young deer seemed fascinated with us.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 226
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 226) The young white-tailed deer kept walking towards us until she was no more than 15 feet away, and we were still softly talking to her.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 226a
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 226a) Until we humans learn to have these kinds of loving, compassionate, and peacemaking encounters with all animals, and stop our horrible exploitation and use of them, we will never know true peace on earth.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 227
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 227) This is another one of the young white-tailed deer.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 228
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 228) Since she sensed no danger from us, this young white-tailed deer decided to go back to eating.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 229
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 229) On 14 Aug 2014, while on one of our walks, we saw this white-tailed deer in the shade of the woods a few feet off the side of the road.

(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 233) We saw this deer in a driveway eating mulberries that had fallen from a tree above.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 234
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 234) This is a closer look at the deer eating the mulberries.
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 235
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 235) This white-tailed deer doesn't seem to fear us, because we don't smell like a carnivore, which is due to the fact that we don't eat any animal products, but only dine on the plant foods that God created for us to eat in Eden (Genesis 1:29-30).
White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 236
(White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - 236) This deer continued to eat the fallen mulberries for a few more minutes, and then slowly walked over and laid down in the woods in our front yard.

Lamb - Right Lamb - Left Presented here are just a few of the countless components of God's creation.  Just as we cannot have human and animal life without water and plants, neither can we have lasting peace without love and compassion.  It is our hope and prayer that this series will motivate people to live and act in a cruelty-free manner; that we would no longer hurt or destroy each other, the animals or our environment.
