There is a friend I care for
A friend so near and dear
I would like to see this friend more
This friend so near and dear.
It’s been ages since I have seen her
An eternity to long.
But one day we will meet again
Her voice is but a song.
I’m glad I have a friend as you
A friend so near and dear
So much I long to say to her
This friend so near and dear.
