America's children All tiny at heart Just like America When she got her start..

America's children The strong and the frail Freedom unites them The dark skin, the pale..

Those unsighted Those who can't walk Those which are gifted And those who can't talk..

Those Native American The Irish child, too.. The French and the English The Japanese, Jew...

Some German heritage Some are from Spain So many countries From which we all came...

Put the children together Different backgrounds and all Not a whisper of prejudice >From their lips with fall...

They'll all play together And live side by side Grow a stronger America One with true pride...

To watch them all laughing Accepting each other Seeing only the inside Of their sister and brother..

If one generation Could be raised in this way Perhaps ending prejudice For tomorrow's new day...

America's children New hope they can bring In many languages But with one heart they'll sing...

Cherish the children Disregarding their race For each of us add To America's smiling face....
