Animal eater
By Heidi Coon

Breakfast
Lunch
Snack
Then, dinner...

Your soon to be forgotten meal
Did ya eat veal?
Unreal
What’s with the cooked corpse appeal?
Your ‘food’ surreal
Animals got a raw deal
Bullshit humane ideal
Slaughterhouses conceal
Fear, blood, & suffering real

Breakfast
Lunch
Snack
Then, dinner…

Your stomach is a graveyard
You corpse munching diehard
Calling pig fat ‘lard’
Thought & empathy retard
Ya think not funding cruelty is ‘hard’
Empathy is so avant-garde
When it comes to decency, you ain’t got a shard
Humanity scarred
Marred

Breakfast
Lunch
Snack
Then, dinner…

Their too short lives lived always afraid
Oh, c’mon, dumbass…you know how ‘meat is made’
Their soft throats slit wide with a sharp blade
…just to fill a buffet…
Slaughter-line death march
Murder parade
Yet is portrayed
As an honest trade
Humanity decayed
Our debt unpaid

Breakfast
Lunch
Snack
Then, dinner…

Your meal, now forgot
The feedlot
In your blind spot
Animal massacre out of earshot
End of the slaughter-line, shot on the spot
Their red blood spilling hot
Give a shit? Bah, you cannot…
You don’t want…
All their suffering…ain’t even an afterthought
Breakfast
Lunch
Snack
Then, dinner…
Their body parts scraped off plates to rot

hate cruelty
