Can You See Me? I Am Here
By Sharon Ann Kieffer
An Animal Rights Poem from All-Creatures.org

All of God's creatures have rights, a fact that most people don't seem to recognize. This includes both human and non-human animals, but not all of them can speak for themselves.

Can You See Me? I Am Here

Can you see me? I am here?
The one with the big fluffy ears.

Can you see me? I am here.
I am the one with the litter of twelve.

Can you hear us calling out?
We are Gods creatures without a doubt.

We are old and some are very young.
Can you hear us anyone?

God made us to. Maybe me for you and her for your child.
Maybe you are to take them?

Can you see us? Can you hear us?
We are shouting out!

In love of all God's animals, and rights.
