Honouring

I walk the fields
End of day
Glancing
Breathing
Hearing the snort
And grunt – of you

You stand, brown eyed
Wilder, wiser
More honouring of this world
Than me

I am nothing
Clothed as I am
Educated as I am
Born as I am
Compared – to you

My heart opens
Aches
To be as honest as you are
As real
I am reduced
In moment
In breath

Honouring, of you

title and cow standing
