In my own words

In my own words I imagine
Powerful gripped pen
Changer of fates

Vision of landscape
Glisten of frost
Cry of curlew
Behemoth mountains

I rewrite the world
I script the movements
Of heaven and
Earth

I am giddy with
Fever
And
Changes to come

In my own words
I write of orca's beach scrubbing
Delight of whinny
Purr of contentment
Call of vixen
Snort and grunt
Bellow and bleat

My hand aches in
Speed-fed ink
Dripping
With creation

Of idealism
Of hope and deep-wood magic
And salt lips
Of earthly bones
And rooted soul

In my own words
