Outrage

We are – the horrified
As collective voices
The witnesses
A rare union of every folk

In compassion of outrage
No creature should endure
Such
Blatant cruelty

With establishment excuses at the ready
We will not be silenced
Animal traumatised
Their comeback -  feeble in arguments
of cow's survival

A young being
A confused soul
A sentient creature
With no way to know
Its perceived threat

Police state
Mockery
Joke
Institutional rot
We rally, we rage against you
Barbaric wrongdoers
Your time will come

just one cow

The young cow is apparently still alive and has a severe lengthly cut on their leg - that a vet has addressed. I do hope that this is accurate - and the cow is in fact - alive. The entire public and subsequent media witnessing of this event - has put this story all over the news in the UK. People are in uproar. For this poor young cow...I can only hope there is a ripple of change in attitudes toward farm animals. There is going to be a major inquiry into the police - who increasingly show themselves to be utter monsters - when it comes to such methods. This is not the first time the UK police have done this.
