All of God's creatures have rights, a fact that most people don't seem to recognize.
This includes both human and non-human animals, but not all of them can speak for themselves.
A Threesome
By M. Butterflies Katz
A ‘ménage a trois’, Love shared by three
was an experience felt by me.
She loved him and he also loved her.
Each of them was dressed in a coat of fur.
Two canine friends and I shared three-way fun,
Their lives and mine entwined as ‘one’.
Both were a senior family member.
We lived a threesome I’ll always remember.
In serious need of physical attention,
and deserving of an honorable mention;
is Baba Ji, a very handsome Collie male,
when suddenly our precious ‘Beautiful’ fell frail.
Though Baba, himself, was so much in need,
‘First comes saving her life’ he agreed.
Playing the patient now became the part
of the dog who was closest to my heart.
She neither ate nor drank for over six days.
I became skilled at emergency feeding ways.
Baba was determined to inspire her to eat,
but it seemed we were nearing the brink of defeat.
When from all over the globe, sent to her
was the necessary LOVE for her cure!
Together we slept and greeted the day.
We immersed in Love and we healed that way.
This is memory worth capturing in rhyme,
of that threesome that was meant just for a time.
With the Love feeling that the three of us found,
we lifted each other to higher ground.
