A Vegetarian Thanksgiving Prayer

Spirit of Creation,
As we see the birds flying together across the sky,
we are glad they are there.
As we see the fish swimming in the sea,
we are glad they are there.
When we see a deer or an elk or a rabbit or a squirrel in the woods,
we are glad they are there,
and not on our dinner tables here tonight.
