Awakening

God leaned down
To Mother Earth's crown
And whispered through Her hair
His sun shone around
Warmed the sweet, fertile ground
Earth felt His loving care..
Through morning mists
Dew-drenched flowers He kissed
'Cross meadows far and near..
With a soft gentle hand
All over this land
He woke the bear and the deer..
Made His mountains shine
Gave the green to the pine
'Caused the rivers to bubble and run
Melt the snow away
Breathed warmth in each day
Through rays of His golden sun...
Awakening Spring
You make my heart sing
My spirit is lifted with love..
All the Earth is aglow
From the love that will flow
From the mists of Heaven above....
