Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
So easy to be sarcastic,
so easy to be cynical,
it’s become my reflex reaction
to so many people and events
and as I sit here
with cloud shadows
moving slowly across the blue ridge,
warm sunlight streaming down
between the puffy white clouds,
the breeze picks up a little,
carrying the first tart taste of fall,
and I find the negative assumptions,
the negative predictions
receding back
into their dismal cavern,
while a softening smile
lights up my face
and my heart
begins to sing.
