For Granted

We so often take for granted
The little things in life,
Traveling the carefree road
No sickness pain nor stride.
Selfishly enjoying things
We really like to do,
Never once a thought to share
The unselfish part of you.
Neglecting to be thankful
For abilities we use.
And so, through ungratefulness
The blessings that we lose.
Let us cease to take for granted
Our Father’s precious love
And His tender mercies.
These are blessings from above.
