I weep for horses like Ruffian
For Cloud and his wild family
For the cruelties done to all horses
Not allowed to live and run free!
For horses drugged for the races
Too young and harshly they're run
They should be out in green pastures
Still playing under the sun!

I weep for the horses left to starve...
Abused, unloved, and beaten
Slaughtered and sent overseas
And end up on tables and eaten!!
For all the horses injured
Who suffer in silence from pain
Out in the rain and hot sun
For surely mankind is insane!

The horse is noble, beautiful!
In senseless wars they have died
And it wasn't even their battles
But mankind's hate and lies!
They carried families Westward
And herded poor cattle for miles
They have made millions for owners
Filling greedy faces with smiles!!

And so I weep for all horses
Who live in a world made by man
Whose greed surpasses my mind-set
Who ruin the water and land!!
No respect can they show other species
And certainly none for each other
They do not see the Divine in Creatures
And in the back will stab their own Brother!!!
