I write what is in my heart
Because God whispers
In the silent moments of day
In the deep peace of night...
He helps me see the pure love
Shining in the faces of children!

He helps me hear the fragile innocence
In bird's song and in
The helpless kitten's cry...
He helps me see the simple beauty
In deer and dove, horse and whale!
He helps me know their worth and
He tells me to speak for them!

God whispers in the wind through
Lofty pine and lowly grasses....
He soars in the flight of eagles
And hawks and migrating geese!
He is scent in wild flowers and
Sea spray and in the roses at
Mary's feet....

His Spirit lives in the hearts of
Poor peoples and He abides in their homes
And dwells within small country churches...

He lends me empathy to know the
Suffering of other life.
He is snowstorm in winter and
Rainstorm in summer and gives
Glow to the moon and stars
And light to the sun at day.

I lift the stone and find Him!
He is silver moonbeams and
Fragile butterfly wings!
He dwells within each beating
Heart!
He whispers in my ear and brings
Peace to my soul and joy to my
Days........
