LIVE AID

We cry to GOD;
long to fly in thought
to realms of Peace and Love;
to call their essence down;
 feel it move us;
see their pathway trod;
find their message done;
-  to prove
that, still, all Life
is One.
 
We all face
our view of life;
long to bring Peace
to this Earth.
Sometimes the link is
missing;
there's a dearth
of caring. . .
 
And yet we show
that when we know
all that other folk
are suffering,
we can respond,
and go beyond the heavy limits
of our self-concern  -
our 'pottering'. . .
 
('God. take my heart
and bend it to the cause  -
an end to strife.
Show me my part  -
what I can do
to help nurture life;
where I can start. . .
 
. . .Then all the deep joy of giving,
all the great light of loving,
all the urgent need for living
take control,
free all feelings  -
and there's hope,
FOR ALL!
