Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
When all seem to conspire
to bring somber tones
and hints of gloom
into my world,
When Mother Nature
and World Affairs
join hands
To chill my soul
and send out signs
of impending death,
One
glorious scarlet oak
bucks the trend,
And shouts loudly
against
the doomsday momentum;
Flaming and flashing
and daring
to shine so brightly
That all around it
are illuminated
And yanked up short
from their morose deathwatch,
To bask
in the infectious warmth
and radiance
Of just one
resplendent
tree.
