Psalm 34:18
Poetry By Anthony James

and I am a man who was brought down
and I am a man whom no one runs to
and I am a man whom no one comes to
and I am a man who has given up on the world
and I am a man who bowed his head and tears fell
and I can count my possessions, every one, in a flash of thought

and, of mystery-
I am the same man whom God visited with.
And He opened my eyes-

and now I See
something in everything-
and now I know
the difference between
something and nothing.

It is not an easy thing,
to let go of this world
without letting go of oneself
it is good to have nothing,
and still love God-

In this there lies a reward.
In the Soul who has lost track of time

And I am sorry-
And He is Merciful
And He is Forgiving
And He is The Redeemer
And Saviour.

And in the end of all this,
I find that I am a Son of God-
And in this, I have Everything-

Father, I wait for You-
My heart is Renewed-
My Soul Lives For You-

How low
How High

Hallelujah.
