Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
Strong winds
rush in,
pushing the storms
off the coast,
bringing billows
of white clouds
racing across
a deep-blue sky.
Sturdy tree trunks
bend
with gale-force gusts
while small twigs
snap
throughout the woods.
High above me
the big birds
swoop and soar,
surfing the sky
with wild abandon
and such superb agility
that I stand
entranced,
staring at the sky.
There’s a sharp edge
of excitement
and vitality,
with just a tinge
of fear,
as Mother Nature’s
stiff broom
scours the earth
and she lets us know ―
once again ―
how very small
we are.
