Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
The Ship of State is sinking on
the shoals of lust;
Epitome, of Greek tragedy.
Infractions of the moral realm
Reflected in the government.
We stand around now, silently,
All part of the majority
That launched the ship with such acclaim
The whole world knew we had proclaimed
That Might is Right.
Aboard, ashore ...we wait, perhaps,
We will be spared the spectacle
Of seeing our pretensions drown
Like rats, on ships that run aground.
But no one comes to take away
The sights confronting us each day
And so we simply close our eyes
Against the sight of our demise.
The Ship of State sinks on.
