Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
Each one of us
is a unique member
of the family
of humankind.
There have been
family squabbles
for millennia,
ever since we first
encountered others
outside our caves,
ever since we started
labeling each other
as different.
What we always
seem to need,
millennium
after millennium,
is
mutual recognition
of our commonality,
mutual acceptance
of our differences,
and times of healing.
Then,
and only then,
will our family
be fit
to live alongside
all the other families
of precious
living
beings.
