Barbecued Corn on the Cob is a vegan recipe that can be lightly grilled on a charcoal or gas grill or it can be prepared in the kitchen with a barbecue sauce without grilling. Preparation time can be as little as 10 minutes for a couple of ears, or somewhat longer if you are preparing a dozen or more ears.
Grilling corn on the cob can be a little tricky to keep it from burning, so we have found that it is best to soak the corn in the husk in water before placing on the grill, which really just steams the corn. Turn the corn frequently to keep it from burning or from cooking only on one side. When the husk dries out and begins to burn away, the corn is generally cooked and should be removed from the grill.
Remove the husk and silk from the cooked corn and brush on the barbecue sauce. Place back on the grill for a minute or two with frequent turning to keep it from burning.
An alternative method is to boil or steam the already husked and cleaned ears of corn and then brush on the barbecue sauce. This is also a great way to serve leftover cooked corn that has been stored in the refrigerator. In fact, we enjoy eating the corn cold with the barbecue sauce as a snack.
Serve and enjoy!

The above recipe is in keeping with God's creation intent (Genesis 1:29-31): 'Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-- everything that has the breath of life in it-- I give every green plant for food." And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.' (NIV) Let no animal suffer or die that we may live!
