A healthful all fruit, non-dairy "milkshake" substitute
(3-4 servings)

Ingredients

Fruit Smoothie with Cranberries, Apples, Oranges, Bananas and Dates
6 oz Cranberries, fresh or frozen
2 Navel Oranges
2 Apples
4-6 Bananas
6 or 7 Dates, pitted
4 Tbsp. Flaxseed (optional)
12 oz. Ice Cubes

Preparation

This recipe makes 48-60 oz. of fruit smoothie.  If you desire less, cut the recipe in half.

In the container of a high-powered blender (such as a Vita-Mix) place rinsed cranberries, peeled oranges, washed and cored apples, peeled bananas, dates, and flaxseed (a good source of omega-3 fatty acids).

Add ice. With cover in place, run blender at high speed until all ingredients are combined.

If the fruit smoothie is thicker than desired, add some ice water and blend into the smoothie. 

Pour into individual glasses.

Serve with a straw and enjoy!
