(Peppers, Hungarian Black) These pepper plants are highly ornamental. The
peppers are good to eat raw or cooked. Hungarian black peppers grow to 4" long.
The fiery fruits of this early-to-mature pepper resemble jalapeņos in shape, but
their spiciness only when these shiny black peppers eventually ripen to red. The
spicy heat of these peppers range from about 2500-10000 Scoville units. The
prolific plants grow to 3' tall and produce green foliage highlighted by
dark-purple veins alongside beautiful purple flowers. We have not seen them in
supermarkets and purchased ours at Tough of Dutch Farm in Richland Center,
Wisconsin. We could not find any comprehensive nutritional information for these
peppers.

The above recipe is in keeping with God's creation intent (Genesis 1:29-31): 'Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-- everything that has the breath of life in it-- I give every green plant for food." And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.' (NIV) Let no animal suffer or die that we may live!
