(Soybeans) Soybeans are not generally sold in
supermarkets, but they are available at health food stores and from co-ops.
Some of the most common uses of soybeans are in making textured vegetable
protein (TVP), soy milk, and tofu. Soybeans have been grown in China for
over 3,000 years, but are now grown in many parts of the world. Soybeans
must be cooked in order for the protein to be digested. See our
