When we make veggie burgers, we usually make at least a dozen or more and freeze the extra ones in freezer bags with wax paper separators between the burgers to keep them from sticking together. This way we have burgers that are ready for a quick meal whenever we want.
To make the burgers from the mix, we place a heaping tablespoon of chickpea flour in a small shallow bowl, like one used for a side dish, and mix it with a heaping tablespoon of nutritional yeast.
Then we use an ice cream scoop to scoop out a compacted ball of mix and gently place the ball on the flour mix in the bowl, and gently roll the ball around in the flour to thoroughly coat the outside.
Press the coated balls into the burger shape and place them on a microwaveable plate or dish and cook each burger for about 2 minutes at 1000 watts (or 4 burgers for 8 minutes), if you are going to freeze them. Be careful that they don't over cook, because warming them up for use will also cook them a little more. (They also can be baked in a conventional oven at 350 degrees F.)
If you are cooking the burgers for immediate use, turn over the burgers after the 2 minute cooking time, and cook each one for another 30 to 60 seconds to bring them to the proper consistency. Be careful that the outer edges don't get hard.
Serve on your favorite roll with whatever condiments and veggies you want. Enjoy.
