Preparation

When we are going to make a recipe with Swiss Chard, we usually purchase additional if we want to make some rollups, so that when we wash the chard for the other recipe, we set the best leaves with no holes, and stems removed, aside for making our rollups. Place one leaf on a plate and wilt it in the microwave oven for 15-30 seconds so that it will be soft enough to roll.  It may take a little testing to get the timing correct with the first leaf.

Place the hummus or other filling on one half of the the leaf, as shown in the photo.

Then start rolling the leaf from the filling side as shown in the photo. Roll fairly tightly, but not so tightly as to force the filling out.

Cut the completed rollups into the desired lengths and place on a plate for serving. Enjoy!
