Throughout the ages, we have accepted killing, violence, and violent behavior as just being a part of life - it's time we change!

Throughout recorded history, the world has been filled with violence; and most consistently, human violence against other animals. This is particularly true when it comes to farmed animals, where the pain, suffering, torture, and death is sanitized for the public in the form of outright lies and false advertising. The effect this has on society is to cause people to harden their hearts and souls to the suffering that they really know exists, and to become indifferent to the plight of the animals, particularly the ones on their plates.
This indifference to the suffering is really a lack of empathy. Most people no longer feel the pain and suffering of the animals, and this makes them sociopathic, and they begin to find ways to justify the atrocities - even to call them "good". Note what we are told in Proverbs 17:13 and 15:
13 He who returns evil for good,
Evil will not depart from his house.
15 He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the righteous,
Both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.
NASB
And note what we are told in Isaiah 5:20:
20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
NASB
For years we have been trying to reverse the trend of sanitizing the violence committed upon animals by exposing the horrible truth of their exploitation. Our hope and prayer is that such exposure will bring people back to reality and once again soften their hearts and souls. Most of the time it seems to work, but not always. Sometimes people, particularly those in the animal exploiting industries, get angry at the truth and lash out at us. We recently received one such letter from Mandy in Australia, who wrote:
f*** off you pack of c***s. we dont like greenies. eat s*** and die [expletives deleted]
Such anger is an indication that Mandy really knows the truth, and is lashing out as a way of trying to justify herself, because she fears the truth. So we responded:
Dear Mandy:
From the tone of your email, the truth seems to make you extremely angry and fearful. You must know that what you're doing is wrong.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
Unfortunately, Mandy never responded.
It's time that we, as a society, wake up to the horrible suffering that is going on all around us, and take a stand against it. It's time we expose the truth in all its gory details and speak out loud and clear until it ends. It's time we stop shooting ourselves in the foot, and end the sanitizing of violence in our society; and when we do, we will find that we've also ended the violence, and have peace.
