Joeycat and one of his best friends Bahama Mama...

There will never be another. 2006-2022. Joeycat was the love of my life! It was a cold winter night, and I received an email that there were two cats who were dumped by their despicable owner in New Jersey after he moved out. Networking with another rescue to trap the cats, we were able to get them.

One got a home in New Hampshire, and then I picked up Joeycat, and put him in my bathroom, as I had another cat named Houdini and two dogs, Bahama Mama and Lucky. Initially Houdini growled like a dog at Joeycat, but soon they became best friends:). Joeycat was named after me, for his social nature, and outgoing personality, along with being loyal and affectionate. Joeycat and I also looked like each other. LOL...

Joeycat was always there for me, no matter what. The reason I’m writing this way after his passing is that there was so much grief with losing my dad, uncle and dog in one year, in addition to me having some serious mental health challenges from Covid.

Joeycat stayed alive so long with his illness, so that I could seek help for mine, he saved my life. We can’t thank Debby Perkins enough for coming each day for close to five months to give Joey life-saving fluids.

There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t think of him. We miss him dearly. We also wanted to thank Christine, Irv, Anna, and Armaiti for their love and support, and for watching over Joey while I was away getting help .
