A very sweet Capuchin, Puchi is now safe at Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary.
Puchi was found wandering along the Eisenhower Expressway in downtown Chicago. We believe that he was a ‘pet’ because he had some tooth extractions, but not much is known about Puchi.
It is believed that he had been in a fire, which could explain his significant hair loss and a chronic upper respiratory problem. All we know for sure is that after Puchi was rescued from the highway and lived at a zoological organization for four years.
When the organization closed, Puchi came to Jungle Friends and adjusted very well. Puchi is a master forager and spends most of his time searching his habitats for special treats – namely, worms. When evening comes, Puchi likes to find a warm place and wrap himself from head to foot in his blanket.
