Water Lily - And the Lord said:
"I will be like the dew to Israel;
He will blossom like the lily,
And he will take root like the cedars of Lebanon."
~Hosea 14:5
Israel had turned away from God, and through the prophet Hosea, the Lord was calling his people back to following Him. The passage above is part of His message of grace and restoration.
We, as the human race, have similarly gone astray from following God's creation intent. We have allowed our fellow human being to suffer and die in many parts of the world, and we have even killed each other. We have caused great suffering to the animals, and we slaughter them by the billions each year. We have done this even though there was no death in Eden nor will there be any death in heaven (Revelation 21:4). And, we have raped and pillaged our environment. It's time for all of us to change and be responsible loving and compassionate caretakers of the whole of God's creation, and be seen in the eyes of God as blooming in the beauty of the lily.

Presented here are just a few of the countless components of God's creation.  Just as we cannot have human and animal life without water and plants, neither can we have lasting peace without love and compassion.  It is our hope and prayer that this series will motivate people to live and act in a cruelty-free manner; that we would no longer hurt or destroy each other, the animals or our environment.
